Oh me gosh... must now compulsively squee over the incredible AWESOME that was the first half of the 'Dr Who' finale.

But yeeeah... other stuff...

I'm all super-excited for the next episode of 'Top Gear' tomorrow. Good lordy I cannot believe how much I missed that show. Plus now it's back and gayer than ever... so yeah... I'm HAPPY!

Also... I was amusingly surprised to find out that Weird Al Yankovitch voiced Wreck Gar in 'Transformers: Animated'! I mean... how freakin' awesome is that! I knew I recognised that bot's voice from somewhere. Heh heh.

Oh an entirely different note... Roleplay... even the random stuff... can be endlessly therapeutic *nods*... I suggest it as a cure for all mental distress (apart from maybe anything associated with Multiple Personality Disorder... as that'd probably only make it worse). But yes... Viral-Muse is happy once more. Very happy.

As for real life... Mom got back from Shetland and we finished watching the second season of 'Carnivale' together. In still really want HBO to get the funding to continue that show. It's just too good to leave half-finished as it is. The epicness should not be abandoned. Mom actually agrees with me... as she loves the show to. *le sigh*

Nrrgh! Never haven I cried so much at a Dr Who episode as I did 'Turn Left'. I'm used to the final few episodes of each series being edge-of-your-seat tearjerkers... I've actually burst into tears at least once every finale... but during this penultimate episode, I was more or less crying all the way through.

I've never really voiced my opinion about the Doctor's Companions before (because I know the fandom has a tendency to rabidly take 'sides'). But I think I will now. First let me say... I actually don't dislike any of them. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. I hate the way that in the fandom you have to be seen as a fan of just one. Anyway... I always loved Rose. She had such a great connection to both regenerations of The Doctor. But I still felt it was right to end her term as companion in the way they did. After all, no one, however close, can stay with The Doctor forever. Then there was Martha... and I'm sorry to say, I missed a massive chunk out of the middle of this series (only watched the first 2 eps and the last 3-4). Therefore, I didn't really get a clear enough idea of Martha as a companion. But I can say she was certainly very necessary in getting The Doctor back to his old self after the loss of Rose. This of course makes her story all the more poignant because of her feelings for The Doctor and his inability to reciprocate. Finally, after Martha, there was Donna, about as independent as a companion can be. She was the one who briefly met him a year before and prevented him from losing control in the leu of Rose's departure. The fact that she wasn't drawn to The Doctor in a romantic sense made her all the more unique of a companion (for New Who at least). Over this last series I really came to love her no-nonsense attitude and the way she almost matched The Doctor in fiestiness. This penultimate episode managed to show just how important she was... in fact, managed to show how important all of The Doctor's companions and associates were. It was good, very good.

And then came the lead-up and preview for the series finale. *angsts* It looks like everyone in the Whoverse are going to be making an appearance (yes, meaning certain members of both 'Torchwood' and 'The Sarah Jane Adventures' will be there) and the plot is one of apocalyptic proportions. I'll say no more... but I have a sinking feeling, just like I did with Torchwood, that not everyone's going to make it out of this finale *wibbles*.

*sighs* Okay... my fandom discourse is done for today... I'll just go hide now. I hope a few of youz on my f-list have actually been watching 'Dr Who'... otherwise all this will have made fuck-all sense. Well... at least it's a note to [info]cleokonekoto try and catch this finale episode if you possibly can... seeing as you've been following 'Torchwood' and all and I think this might be a kinda vital ep for 'Torchwood' continuity.

And... um... yeah. On a side-note... I didn't have enough credit to get straight into 2nd year of DTA this next term... but I'm gonna be taking it from 1st year anyway, because this is what I've decided upon. So yeah... next term I will be a fresher once more and starting a new, exciting Uni course! *dances*

Oh man... I'm frickin' tiiiiiiiired! I shoulda had a good night's sleep last night but I kept on waking up randomly every hour or so... which was annoying as hell *yawns*. Hope I'll sleep better tonight.

OH WOW OH WOW OH WOW! So much new stuff... so little time!

Firstly... 'IRON MAN' FTW! Went to see it yesterday... and... just OMG! *squees excessively* I do believe it is the best superhero movie I've seen so far. I mean, 'Batman Begins' was awesome to the max (and the second Batman movie will also be stupendous no-doubt) but Iron Man manages to beat it. Everything about it is just so... right! The story is suspenseful and extremely well-written... the cinematography and graphics are mind-blowing... the action is phwoar... the characters are amazingly endearing and the acting... well dammit if I didn't believe at times that the whole thing was real (in my fangirlly believing comic-books have basis in fact way, of course)! It's how a real superhero movie should be. Not to mention the fact Robert Downey Jr. + my current robotics obsession = me dying of hawtness overload. The truth is... I love every character RDJ plays... no matter how sleazy or no-good they are... because hey, it's RDJ and there's no way I can hate a guy with so much charm! Also... add in a story with one of the most flawed heroes I've seen in forever, an AI suit of armour that flies through the sky like a Decepticon and a female heroine who is so much more than your typical damsel in distress... and you get one hell of a movie! It's just so refreshing to see a movie like this in comparison to all the other run-of-the-mill comic-book adaptations. So yeah... those of you who even vaguely like comic-book movies and haven't yet seen it? GO SEE IT NOW! ... I've never felt so inclined to get into an original Marvel canon before!

Also... I've started watching two cartoons that have been recommended to me and am loving both of the immensely.

The first is 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'. Despite all the scariness that I know lurks in the fandom, I've gone ahead and started watching it. Am currently on the 4th episode of the first season (although, they're conveniently known as 'Books' and 'Chapters'... which makes me smile). It's really, really damn good! The script is amazing, and resulting story truly moving. So far, although currently liking all the main characters, my favourites are Sokka and Zuko. Sokka is just constantly amusing... his hectic temper and food obsession make me all happy. And Zuko, despite being 'the enemy' (at the moment) is just too frickin' adorable... what with his growly snarkiness and being so GAR... ooops, wrong fandom... badass. Plus I'm already starting to empathise with Zuko... just can't help but fall for the poor rejected ones. I'm not very far into the story at the moment... but it's done incredibly well to get me addicted within the first few eps!

The second series is... uh... a bit retro. It's 'Biker Mice From Mars'... and dammit, it's good! The scripts and plot aren't exactly what you'd call deep... but it's a bit of good fun. After all, it's the characters that matter, right? So yeah... it's about... pretty much what it says in the title... three rebel Martian mice saving the world on their motorbikes. All three of them are just so... cool, for lack of a better word. And the token 'human' character is actually not all that annoying (like some of humans in 'Transformers' tend to be). All in all, it's a laugh, well animated and engaging. Though I gotta say... watching it makes me feel rather guilty. The fact that they're alien anthropomorphic mice doesn't seem to make the guilt go away either. Bye-bye fandom morals... bye-bye! *sighs*... But it's good fun to watch none-the-less.

And so... yep... that's all for now. I' ve been feeling really happy recently. Maybe it's the holiday feeling finally kicking in?

I am currently working on uploading my long-overdue 'Tour Of The Apartment' for all youz wonderful people to look at. Unfortunately, as it's like 10 minutes long (about twice as long as the longest one I've previously uploaded)... it's gonna be a while before it finishes. Currently it's wavering anywhere between 5 and 10 hours *headdesk*. Sometimes I frickin' HATE the upload speeds offa this computer! Anyway... that will be along soon.

In other news... my Mom came around yesterday and helped me clean up the flat so it's all nice and shiny for the quarterly inspection coming up on the 10th. It's actually really nice having the house all clean for a change... now I just need to make sure it stays that way *nods*. Actually... now everything's tidy, my laptop's been relocated back to my bedroom and it's kinda weird sitting at my desk again. Ah well. Spring clean hopefully means me no-longer being such a lazy-ass.

I really want to play 'The Sims 2' right now ([info]wolfalice you know why!)... but can't, firstly because the game would probably freak out the uploader and cancel it's progress... and also 'coz 'Dr Who' starts in 10 minutes. I'd better go off and watch that then. I need to know how that goddamn cliffhanger is resolved!

Also... for the record... I will never understand some men. They're just so freakin' illogical! *huffs*

Later peeps!

E.T.A. : Okay... so this is fuckin' ridiculous! It's 3:28 in the morning and THE GODDAMN THING IS ONLY HALF FINISHED!!!!!!! *shakes head and dies*... I started this thing, like, 10 bloody hours ago!!!!!!!! And it's only half done! Well... okay, my internet's been shitty and it's a wonder I'm even online now without it cutting out... but seriously! Oh man... I think I'm just gonna pause the upload and go to sleep. It can finish in the goddamn morning! I need some sleep.

Uuuugh! Sometimes I hate my crappy migraine-prone genes. The thing is... I never used to get the things until about half a year ago. Just headaches. But now it's just frickin' stupid! Spent all of yesterday, and a good part of the previous night, curled up on the couch hoping it would go away, as I couldn't actually get to sleep. What probably makes it worse is that we don't have any headache pills or painkillers in the house and I really wasn't feeling up to going out for any. Luckily, after a bit of sleep catch-up today, it seems to have faded away. Thank frickin' hell!

Anyway... the day before yesterday I went into town to meet up with my best friend Clare and her boyfriend. We went shopping around town for a while then came back to the flat, ordered pizza and watched a couple movies before they went home at around midnight. It was a really awesome, if tiring day, and it was great to meet Dominic (who has absolutely impeccable taste in gothic women's clothing... and can actually pull off the whole look). So yeah... good day all in all if it hadn't been for the migraine at the end.

So... today I... watched S2 of 'Primeval' finally, and caught up with the TFA eps I was running behind on. First, let me say... second series FTW!!! Though the final episode made me have a minor breakdown. But yay for the AU twist... yay for Sabretooths at last... yay for unbearable UST moments and yay for uber-angst throughout! Some things I really dislike having changed from the first season... for example the 'new' Claudia... but other things have made the second series of 'Primeval' absolute love. Now... onto TFA... 'Society of Ultimate Villainy' was interesting... but dear god... cruel Autobots are cruel (or at least significantly unfeeling). The premise of the ep wasn't all that great, but I couldn't help but love Swindle. As for 'Autoboot Camp'... MUCH FRICKIN' LOOOOVE! Though I was kinda slow to realise exactly who the undercover traitor was (sure I knew which 'bot it was... but unfortunately I was a bit slow on the uptake as to his 'Secret Identity'... despite the obvious clue staring me right in the face). In any case... *squeeeeeeee* (plus many old G1 faces putting in an appearance just make me feel all warm and happy inside).

Till later you wonderful people!

I need to get in another day's work sometime in the near future... maybe I will when I go back home to house-sit next week. Because seriously... that extra £35 is just what I need (for THIS and THIS are pretty damn lurvely... despite their inability to actually Transform... and seeing as they're like £30 each on Amazon... great deal too!)

Heh heh... gonna go watch this week's ep of 'Dr Who' (that I stupidly went and missed yesterday *facepalm*).

E.T.A. This is a goooood episode. What with the whole multi-verse library thing... and the random appearance of archeologists (yay for the HHGTTGism!)... shadow creatures... freaky little children... many spoiler warnings and... BLOODY CLIFFHANGER!!!! *facepalm*

Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow… so much to catch up on and so little time. Uh yeah, anyway…

In other news… I used up some free rental vouchers I got at Blockbuster and rented out some relatively recent films that I hadn’t yet seen (and on I had already… but had the urge to watch again). Plus I have a round-up of the films I watched recently but forgot to tell y’all about. So here are reviews, reviews, reviews!

I Am Legend - For a while I’d been wanting to see this. Partly because of apocalyptic sci-fi thing… partly coz it’s a Will Smith movie… partly because I wondered how all of my f-list could get so upset over an animal… and partly because the premise reminded me of ‘28 Days Later’ (which I loved). The plot centres around the Will Smith character who is the last survivor of an mutation epidemic that has swept through the island of Manhattan. He has only survived so long because he is one of the people with natural immunity to the virus and has managed to stay out of the way of the ravenous mutant-zombie inhabitants who come out at night. As a virologist, he is working to find the cure for the virus, but without help the process is slow work. He is all alone except for his loyal friend, an Alsatian dog called Sam. It’s actually a surprisingly deep movie, despite the fact that it’s technically a zombie flick in disguise. More a study of the emotional strain caused by the notion that you might be the last human alive on the planet. Despite it being partially an action movie, Smith also portrays the main character’s psychological breakdown immensely well… and truly makes you believe the dog is his only true friend left to keep him company. Being the emotional wreck I usually am, certain parts of the movie had me in tears. However, there were many flaws and plotholes (especially in the second half) that nagged at the back of my brain... but didn't destroy the experience thankfully. Smith's performance and the dog really manage to carry the movie though. I'm still gonna give it a healthy 7/10

Resident Evil Extinction - Sticking with the zombie theme, I was probably a bit late in catching up with this movie, but hey, good things come to those who wait. The story continues on a number of years after the incidents of ‘Apocalypse’ when the virus has managed to spread worldwide and is slowly killing even the planet itself. Milla Jovovitch is back in her role as Alice (looking even more stunning in her outlaw/biker gear than ever before… hell, she’s probably the main reason I wanted to watch this film!). Plus we also get introduced to a slew of new characters (like Claire Redfeild, a protagonist from the original games) and some old allies (Carlos Oliveira). The plot is engaging and quite a bit of fun action-wise. Plus… Can I Haz My Own Alice Clone Naoh Plz? Rating it 7/10... Damn fun for a sequel run-of-the-mill zombie flick.

Daywatch - The sequel to culty Russian hit film ‘Nightwatch’, this movie rounds off the story of the protagonist Anton nicely. Though the premise is very hard to explain, it’s basically about the delicate truce between the forces of darkness (the vampires, nightwalkers and dark warlocks) and the forces of light (the psychics, good witches and daywalkers). There is much time/space distortion, ‘gloom’ travelling and other weirdness involved. The story is complicated to say the least… and it’s much better seen after watching the first one (otherwise the character drives and reactions might not make perfect sense). But all in all it’s a bloody brilliant film. It’s nice to have a protagonist as deeply flawed as Anton and yet so adorably likable. I’d give it a solid 9/10.

The Golden Compass - Yes, finally got around to seeing this whilst I was back home-home. Kinda glad now I didn’t spend my money to go see it at the theatre now… as I have VERY mixed feelings about it. Sure it follows the basis of the original story quite well… but sheesh it was ‘dumbed-down’ a lot! The most annoying thing about it was the constant explaining (and re-explaining) of plot and motive in the first half of the film. Where as they could have just led the viewer into the world and let them draw their own conclusions, instead, the filmmakers chose to do a narrative at the start that pointlessly revealed a huge chunk of plot. I understand they were aiming the film at a young audience… but seriously, it got to the level of talking down to the audience! Also, a lot of the harsh reality of the book was taken away in the film in an effort to make it kid-friendly… which also took away a level of emotional endowment. The script itself was pretty shoddy throughout and I hated where they decided to cut it on a ‘happy note’ at the end *scowls*. Luckily, the acting of a number of the characters managed to carry the movie. Despite my initial objections, Nicole Kidman made a brilliant Mrs Coulter (though I still think she should have dyed her hair black… or got a wig or something… it’d have been more effective). Also, the actress playing Lyra was very good and the portrayal of Lee Scorsby won me over so much that I didn’t even mind that I thought he was cast too old. Also, the backgrounds and CGI landscapes were worthy of much love and admiration. Still, I’m only giving it a 6/10 for messing up so much… it woulda gotten lower if the acting and CGI hadn’t pulled it back up.

Titan A.E. - Okay… way late to be catching up with this old animated goody. But frankly I’m surprised I didn’t see it sooner as it’s fantastic! It came a bit after my time of being into Western animated movies... but I kinda wish it hadn't. For one, it's a proper sci-fi tale... with all the adventure, outer-space, comradeship and heartbreak you could imagine. It follows the story of Cale, a young human who finds he has the missing link to a puzzle that could find the ship that will save humanity after the earth's untimely destruction. He teams up with a rag-tag band of humans and aliens in order to find the 'Titan' before the evil Drej. One thing that makes it brilliant is all the detailed character development... they're characters you can really fall for. The script is wonderful (as it should be with Joss Whedon working on the screenplay). Plus the soundtrack's awesome. I'ma gonna give it 8/10 coz it's love.

So yeah… apart from those movies… I also re-watched both ‘Casshern’ (still had me bawling the whole way through again!) and the 'Transformers' live-action movie (which I still love immensely for letting Screamer survive… but hate for the whole Jazz incident).

And on a side-note… after watching the TFA episode ‘A Fistful Of Energon’… CAN I HAZ ANOTHER CLONE OF MY VERY OWN PLZ!!!!!! ♥

Okay... I officially HATE Windows Bloody Vista! It may have been fretting over it for a while, but this home computer has finally given up trying to co-operate with the antivirus programming. I dunno who's more at fault... Microsoft for making all new computers Vista standard... or McAfee for making a bloody terrible antivirus program! Oh how I long for the security of good ol' Windows XP and reliability of Norton Security! Honestly... this computer is less than half a year old and it's memory is clogged up to the point of crashing! Temporarily disabling part of the McAfee software package has made the computer run a tiny bit swifter, but it still takes 5mins+ for programs to open, whilst trying to install any new software causes the goddamn thing to crash (there goes all hope of having frickin' AIM!... Many apologies to those who are waiting for me online... keep in contact with me through LJ and I'll be back Thursday). What sucks even more is that the parentials went ahead and ordered 2 years of McAfee cover for this thing! So if we uninstall it (which I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally wanna do), there'll be all that money wasted! Ugh! HATE HATE HATE!

Anyway, now that that's outta my system... yes, I am back home-home at the moment. I have two days of work scheduled (tomorrow and wednesday) so I can get some money... and I'm glad to be back with the mother and cats. The house is looking all neat and tidy in preparation for the whole relocation thing. The house went on the market on Thursday, so hopefully we'll have interested parties arriving to view the place soon.

I went to see a local friend (Inge) today as I was home and it was also her birthday. Both she and Sasha (the dog) were fine. But when she received a phonecall from one of her German relatives, I was surprised by how much of the conversation I could understand. I mean, I thought I'd forgotten most of the language stuff I'd learned back in school... but apparently not. So yeah, that was interesting. Now I'm back in the house and am having to cope with the overwhelming smell of paint from the newly-done upstairs doors. Ick. Oh... and Mom swearing a lot (she hardly ever does so normally) because a drop of paint's landed somewhere it's not supposed to. She hates interior decorating. I think the cats are sleeping outside in the the sun (of which we've had a fair bit today) and hopefully not getting too cold (as the wind is unbearably chilly... ugh... stupid British weather!)

I want a sandwich! Yes, I already had one today... but I want another! SANDWICH CRAVING!!!!!! I'm strange.

Well... okay... so that title really isn't the way to start a serious post. But anyway... it was made of too much utter win to leave out (especially when it's said in uber-whiny Starscream-speak... it will give a person hours of amusement!) As you may have guessed... I've managed to acquire the first half of S2 'Transformers'. It is much, much love!

Ah yes... other good news before the inevitable bad stuff. I managed to rent the first season of 'Jericho' from Blockbuster a lil' while back... as I hadn't been able to catch it from the beginning on TV. It's surprisingly, incredibly good. It has the same tension and allure as 'Lost' had... but without the confusion and going-nowhere plots. It has great, well-acted characters and a believable situation. And now that I've finished the first season, I'm frickin' desperate for the second one! Plus, strangely enough, even though I have a favourite slashy pairing in the show that I love muchly, my OTP is a het one (but it's such a sweet love-hate relationship at first... and then it's clear how much they mean to each other. Oh man... I so don't want the happiness in canon to be ruined!). But yeah... a show that deserves much squeeing... if I can find anyone else who watches it, that is.

And now for the bad news that I've been holding off on. Y'know that killer Uni project I spent ages working my ass off on? Well... I didn't pass it. Luckily, I think my tutor is going to allow me to do my cosplay outfit as my resit (which should save me some money at least). Still not happy £120 just went to waste, but anyway. I think I'll also be transferring courses in the new term. Hopefully I'll be able to switch into second year of 'Drama + Theatre Arts'... which is a more writing-based course (and will give me a better chance of getting into an intensive scriptwriting year-long course eventually). The schedule will be less full-on but there will be much more written stuff (which is frankly right up my alley). So yeah... at least I think that's how things might turn out. And yeah... I didn't post this up on the day I found out... otherwise I'd have been terribly emo about it and would have depressed you all. At least everything's a lot clearer in my head now.

Skipping over the truly depressing news for now (I'll maybe update my journal with it later... but right now I don't wanna think about it)... I bring you my utter squee-fest of love for the 4th Indiana Jones movie (with no spoilers!). My love for it is currently unparalleled (It's going up there with my favs gosh-darn-it!) *dances like an imbecile*

So... me and [info]cleokoneko went in for our last-day-of-term leaving party and, after saying goodbye to everyone, headed to our local multiplex. We arrived in perfect time, ten minutes before the trailers were scheduled to start. Anyway, after the slew of trailers (there look to be some goddamn brilliant movies coming up) the movie started. And first thing I noticed? They used the old, slightly grainy Paramount opening logo at the start. From then on I had the feeling this was gonna be gooooooooooooooooooooood. I won't be all spoilery because I'm sure not a lot of you have seen it yet. But wow... it was everything I coulda asked for from an Indy Jones movie! There were suspend-your-disbelief moments of uber proportions, shmexy-talking villains (Yes, Cate Blanchett as super-bitch FTW!), typically hilarious bouts of comedy, a few well-earned surprises, archeology, ancient traps, awesome chase scenes, instantly lovable characters... and... uh... some cross-genre madness (which some may hate but I absolutely adored). It was amazingly good fun. Plus... they included a mention of happenings in the series... which confirmed the show's canon and made the movie full of immense win! And also payed homage to the previous films at key moments too... keep a sharp eye out and you may notice little things of importance.

Now... still without being spoilery, I will drop some cunning keywords that explain my favourite parts of the movie. Firstly... OMG FRIDGE! How awesome was that! Then... LEATHER JACKET + HARLEY turned me into melted fangirl of epic proportions. I may have drooled. Also... MONKEY BOY! I lol'd insanely. And everything from around the finale made me smile... especially JUNIOR (I was like "D'awww!")... even the cheesy ending was rather apt.

But yeah, even though Harrison Ford is probably a bit old for the gig, he still has that charming Indy personality. And what restrictions had to be made stunt-wise for him were more than made up for by the other cast members. And speaking of cast members... goddammit... this film was the last straw. It was bad enough restraining myself during the 'Transformers' movie... but I can resist the hawtness no more. Shia LaBeouf is so frickin' gorgeous. *shakes head* I'm hopeless... and such a hypocrite for ever hating him. Seriously... he is beyond shmexy in this movie... damn him and his adorable curly hair and puppy-dog eyes! *fails* I was tempted to write up a Fandom Secret for this... along the lines of "I'd Ride It Like I Stole It"... but y'all know that now so it'd hardly be a secret.

If there was one thing that didn't sit right, it was the slight slip-up of continuity from the previous movie. After all... both Indy and his father drank from the Holy Grail... technically they both should have been granted immortality. But that's the only thing I'd point out as a technical inaccuracy. *shrugs*... Apart from that... DARN BRILLIANT MOVIE! It cheered me up no-end.

Oh man... writer's block sucks! I've been trying to get this goddamn essay typed almost all freakin' day and it's still not done yet! I couldn't seem to get started for ages because my motivation was being a bitch... and then when I actually write, my coherency is all fucked-up. Ugh... why do we even have this goddamn project to do? It's hardly anything worthy of a group project... this whole thing suuuuuuuuuuuucks! *bashes head against wall*. Plus my internet's being playing up again which is making it hard to get to the essay guidelines in the online handbook. Nnnngh! It's like whatever I try, everything always gets pushed to the last freakin' minute. *fails*

Hah... I've even had to correct like 5 spelling mistakes in that last paragraph alone. That's frickin' pathetic. Anyway... I'm taking a small break before tackling this essay once more. Sorry [info]konomune, I probably won't be able to make it online at all tonight (heck, it'll be a wonder if I get any sleep at this rate).

In other news. I finished off the last episode of my rented boxset of 'The Adventures Of Young Indiana Jones'. That series deserves a huge amount of love, seriously. I remember catching a lot of the episodes about 4 years back when they aired on TV. I loved them then and I still love them now. However, I have realised how obvious it is that the episodes are shot out-of-order. It's actually quite irritating at times how the actor's age changes are blatant to see. Sure I can understand it in the first episode (as the 'First Adventure' in Egypt is crammed in alongside an adventure taking place somewhere near the end of the world tour - Indy mentions having already visited some of the places that he visits later on). But, unfortunately, there must have been a huge break between filming in certain areas. Both the actor who plays Indy as a child and the one who plays him as a teen both seem to have a two-or-so-year age-gap between locations, which constantly changes from episode to episode. It's especially apparent in child!Indy, who seems to flash from 9 years to at least 12 or 13 in the space of one episode. But other than that, there's nothing I can say is wrong about the series. The later episodes in particular are very poignant and endearing (plus hey, it's more okay to have a crush on the character when he's an older teen, right *guilty wince*). It's all good. I just can't wait until they release the other half of the boxset... I remember I loved war-years!Indy so much.

But yeah. I'd better get back to work now. Ta-ta for now.

ARGH! I really can't be doing with this! Just as I get a good page-worth of background for AR written up... just about to save the goddamn thing... and then bloody Works CRASHES ON ME! Bye-bye all my typing! I can't afford to be stopping and saving the thing every 2 minutes because I'll lose the flow of the writing... but goddamn it... just as I was going to save what I'd got. THIS IS BULLSHIT!

Sorry... had to rant there. I'm angry. Now I'm going to have to re-write it all and I don't have a frickin' photographic memory so it's gonna be a whole lot more crap than it was before. Sometimes I HATE this bloody machine!

*storms back off to continue typing*

Bwah ha... FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM! It feels so damn good! Okay... I still need to pop into Uni every day this week for this walk-over of a project... but hey, NO MORE SEWING AND GODDAMN CONSTRUCTION! I'm so utterly relieved. Me and [info]cleokoneko have been acting like we're on drugs thew last two days... we're just so hyper (yes, even the strange looks from members of the public on the bus as we lol excessively is worth it).

Also... G1 of Transformers is made of too much love... so yeah, went into CEX today and found S1 for £12... totally nabbed it in all it's wonderful 80s goodness. I so need the two parts of S2 now... and... possibly the movie if I dare (though I know it will leave me in many emo tears of sorrow). But yeah. Happy!

And while I'm on the subject of Transformers... I have a recc I just wanna squee about excessively (even though the author herself is probably the only person on my f-list who obsessively squees about TFA as much as I do). I'm throwing it out there anyway because I love it so very, very much and it's made me endlessly happy...

So yes. *nods* I probably have more to say... but I really need to get to sleep (it's taken me ages to type this... my baaaaaaaaaad!)

Okay... sorry for not being around like at all right now. My bad. I know. But after working my ass off for 3 days and nights before hand-in on top of all the work done before, I still didn't manage to get the whole project done (what did I tell y'all about that 'failing' feeling of mine?). Anyways... I'm gonna try and get everything finished off this weekend and hand in the last bit of the project with my portfolio on Monday *sighs*. It'll get a minimal mark but will at least insure I pass. Am not particularly happy about the whole thing, but I can't afford to have to re-sit this... literally... I don't have enough cash to pay for another construction project (unless I base it on my cosplay costume this summer... now that would be a laugh).

So yeah... um... other stuff... I'm looking forward to all my hand-ins being over and done with. Then I can sleep... and go to see the new Indiana Jones movie... and get to reply to all your comments... and finally get started on AR. But yeah... I won't be back until Tuesday probably (though if I'm not collapsing straight to bed on Monday night then I might try to start catch-up then). *dies*

Okay... so small little update for now as I have to get back to work sharpish (so sorry if I don't catch-up with replies just yet). But yeah... I've had the TV on all day while sewing. I've managed to completely finish all of my project's undergarments and am now well under-way with the main outfit. But yeah... just to tell y'all... 'Transformers G1' rocks SO MUCH! Yes it's retro... but dammit it's just as much fun as the TFA series.

SS: "Megatron's A WIMP!"
Devastator: "So is Starscream"
SS: "Yes... but I'm fast!" *runs away*

Aww... bless his little double-crossing scardy-cat ass ♥ . I gotta say I miss the high-heels of doom... but thank goodness his sideburns air-vents are still there. He's such a traitor and yet he's all too willing to suck-up to whoever's about to beat him up. OMG... when Megatron's angry with him and strangling him? *squee* Heh heh... now I fully and unabashedly support that pairing!

Oh... and Blitzwing and his wonderful multiple personality disorder (is he like the only bot that has two vehicular forms? He's pretty darn awesome... and psychotic). There doesn't seem to be a Lugnut in G1 (but then I have only seen 1 and a half eps)... but many chuckles at Astrotrain (he's a bit slow ain't he... and... uh... train-like).

Oh... and also... something else of amazing win and endless amusement? OPTIMUS PRIME'S MAGICAL DISAPPEARING BACKSIDE! Where the hell does it come from? And where does it go to when he's not in truck form? I mean, every time he transforms... his truck crate just rolls on to attach from offscreen. Is it a separate Autobot? I mean... how awesome would it be to be 'Optimus Prime's Backside'! *grins*

Right... I'm gonna get back to work now. Just felt I had to share that bit of fangirlly excitement. (Oh [info]wolfalice... I entirely blame you for this mech addiction of mine damn you for turning me robosexual *fails*).

Hooooooly crap... there must be a football match on. Strange that I can hear it so loud, seeing as we're nowhere near a stadium. Pah... bunch of rowdy hooligans! The chanting is getting on my nerves a bit.

I wasn't online at all yesterday. Mainly because half of the day was spent acquiring all the fabric I'd need for my project and half was spent getting the undergarments sewn up. Yesterday did not seem to be a good day for anyone I know. Even the parentials and Zoe had bad days. But yeah... ended up spending just over £100 on all that stupid fabric, thread and extra bits. And to top that, my main fabric (which I'd already finalised with the Designer) turned out to be a real mess. Not only was the amount a good half-a-metre shorter than I'd have liked, but the length had been cut into already so there is a random metre-and-a-bit already cut out of the fabric. This will probably mean I'll have to adapt my pattern so it loses a panel or two and is less full. I'm really not happy about that! Ugh. Stupid, stupid project!

I really wanna do a 'Tour' vid of the apartment with freaky-ass commentary and random babble. But somehow I think the current state of the place would frighten many people. It is a place where Wreck-Gar would feel totally at home (yes, that is a TFA reference... my bad). Anyway... it's a tip and I look a state from over-work at the moment... so yeeeeeah... not happening. I will add it to the list of stuff that needs done once I get back from fun-stuff hiatus (see below)
